Leiser's Ninth Annual Gourd fest

Leiser's gourd fest was a great weekend.  I think everyone had a good weekend.

We had specials on J.W.etc Artistic Finish and on the waxes.  These products are no longer being manufactured by J.W.etc so when we have sold them out there will be no more.

We still have some colors left so be sure to get in touch before it is to late.

About the show:  Saturday was in the 60's most of the day so very pleasant.  It was good to see old friends from past years and make a few new ones.  The competition in the shed was great.  Lots of wonderful art to see.

I was happy to see that Betsy Roberts is back to making art again.  Congratulations on all your ribbons!  You deserve every one!

We neglected to pack the camera so sorry to say no pics to share.

Sunday is another story!  Boy was it cold!  I don't think it ever got up to 50%.  Fortunately Andy an I both had brought several sweaters and jackets and I think we had all of them on at the same time.  One of my sweaters has a hood and I put that on too.

I had a demo at 10am.  It involved dipping a sponge in water before dipping it in the stain.  I didn't bring gloves so my hands were pretty icy by the time I was finished.  When my audience gave up and left, I gave up too and went back to my booth. LOL

We had 3 or 4 periods of hail mixed in with the sporadic rain throughout the day.  Lucky for all of us we were in big ag tents and pretty well protected.

All in all it was a fun weekend.  Hope to see everyone there again next year.

Grip All Jaws

We'll be offering the new wonderful Grip all Jaws at the Ninth Annual Gourd Art Festival and Gourd Sale.
This is my favorite new toy!  It allows me to securely hold my gourd while I carve, paint, cut or do anything where I used to wish for a third hand.

This product is made in American and comes complete with the tilt base, the extra large opening head and the exclusive holding blocks and pins that allow you to grip all kinds of shapes and sizes from 2" to maybe even 20".  I haven't tried that big yet but I think it could.

It is only $195. plus tax.  I will have one set up to try out.  Come by and check it out.
